At Sutherland Street, we are focused on providing excellent quality care and education for all children who attend our service.
Sometime ago we recognised that quality staff were hard to find in a small country town. We established a mutually beneficial working relationships with the Pathways Co-ordinator at Assumption College, Broadford Secondary College and Wallan Secondary College.
We support School Based Apprentice training for selected students from these educational establishments. We also support onsite training for Early Childhood Educators on placement from Go-Tafe, Australian Catholic University, RMIT University, Deakin University, Victoria University, Charles Sturt University and Latrobe University.
We have an embedded Educational Leader who works 4 days a week – to assist staff with their studies, to identify training needs across the business and to liaise with local TAFE and other training organisations. All of these endeavors are designed to ensure that our staff reach their full potential within their chosen profession.
We are always pleased to hear from well qualified professional Early Childhood Educators who are willing and able to work within the hours we operate.
At certain times through out the year we may have some shift options available.
We are committed to further training of all of our staff at all levels.
Our Early Childhood Educators are constantly upgrading their Early Childhood Education and Care skills and knowledge with our support.
